Motorcyclist Suffers Serious Injuries In Yorktown Crash

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- A motorcyclist was seriously injured and stretch of Route 132 was closed for approximately several hours Sunday afternoon after a serious crash.

The crash, near Barberry Lane, occurred around 3 p.m., leading to the closure between Salem Road and Moreland Street. The road remained closed after the vehicles were cleared for an accident investigation by the Yorktown Police Department.

The motorcyclist, who suffered severe trauma, was transported to Westchester Medical Center's Trauma Center, according to the Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department.

The Yorktown Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Empress Emergency Medical Services paramedics also responded.
