Cesar Calderon was charged with bail jumping in the second degree, a Class E felony.
Police went to assist EMS crew at the gas station on Sunday, Aug. 20, at 4:16 a.m. A routine driver's license inquiry revealed there was an active bench warrant against Calderon for a robbery arrest from 2012, police said.
Calderon was transported to Hudson Valley Hospital Center. After being discharged, he was placed under arrest and transferred to Yorktown Police headquarters. He was remanded to Westchester County Jail without bail and is due back in court on Aug. 31.
Police did not specify what the medical emergency was.
