Underaged Yorktown Man Arrested for Giving Alcohol to Teen Girl

YORKTOWN, N.Y.—An underage Jefferson Valley man was under arrest after he allegedly gave alcohol to a 15-year-old girl.

Police charged 20-year-old Cristian A. Urvina, of 372 Indian Hill Rd. for unlawfully dealing with a child, and endangering the welfare of a child, misdemeanors. Police said that on September 14 at 10:16 p.m. a Peekskill resident appeared at headquarters reporting earlier that day his 15-year-old daughter was given alcoholic beverages while at a residence in Jefferson Valley.

Police investigation led to the arrest of Urvina that same night at 11:30 p.m. outside of his residence.

Urvina was released on $100 bail and is scheduled to answer the charge on October 18 at 6 p.m.

Other news from the Yorktown Police Department:

- A teen has been arrested and faces a felony for throwing bottles out of a moving vehicle, which caused damage to another vehicle.

Police investigated a report on July 12, where the incident allegedly happened on Rt. 6, and the victim claimed several hundred dollars worth of damage was done to his vehicle. Police investigation led to the arrest of the 18-year-old from Shrub Oak, and she voluntarily appeared at police headquarters on September 17.  She was charged with criminal mischief in the third degree, a felony and released without bail.

- 45-year-old Brenda Sandoval, of 2380 Crompond Rd. was charged with assault in the second degree, a felony, after she allegedly assaulted a male victim on Commerce Street with a key, causing facial injuries. Yorktown Police received a report of a female requesting assistance on Commerce St. on September 17. Investigation led to Sandoval’s arrest when she was found to have assaulted a male victim. She was released without bail.
