Support Connection Offers Support Groups In October In Yorktown

YORKTOWN, N.Y. – Support Connection will offer free support groups throughout October for those affected by breast and ovarian cancer in Westchester and Putnam counties.

Topics ranging from living with cancer through all stages of diagnosis, treatment and post-treatment will be discussed.

The Support Connection offices in Yorktown will host a breast and ovarian cancer support group on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 10 a.m., a breast cancer support group on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m., and a Young Women’s Support Group on Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m.

New York-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital in Cortlandt Manor hosts a a breast cancer support group on Monday, Oct. 19, at 7 pm.

The Yorktown Jewish Center in Yorktown Heights will host a Support Group for Women Living with Recurrence on Friday, Oct. 16, at 12:30 p.m.

Northern Westchester Hospital in Chappaqua will host a breast and ovarian cancer support group on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m.

For those unable to attend support groups in person, there are two phone groups available. The Advanced Stage or Metastatic Breast Cancer Telephone Group will take place on Monday, Oct. 5, at 8 p.m. and the Ovarian Cancer Telephone Group will take place on Wed., Oct. 14, at 8 p.m.

Advance registration is required for all groups.
