Truck Stopped, Found To Be Over 18K Pounds Overweight In Westchester, Police Say A company was issued summonses after one of their cement trucks was found to be tens of thousands of pounds overweight during a Westchester traffic stop, police said.  The traffic stop happened on Tuesday, Aug. 13 around 9 a.m., when a cement truck was pulled over by the City of Rye Police Department for an equipment violation, the department said. After police stopped the truck, they found it to be loaded with 10 yards of concrete without an overweight permit. Stuck, Bottomed-Out Oil Tanker Briefly Closes Busy Yonkers Intersection A hilly Westchester intersection was temporarily closed to traffic as towing crews worked to remove an oil tanker that bottomed out and became stuck in the middle of the roadway.  The closure happened in Yonkers on Monday afternoon, July 15, when an oil tanker became stuck while traversing the hill at the intersection of Ashburton Avenue and Warburton Avenue, according to Yonkers Police.  The tanker was eventually removed with the help of several heavy-duty tows.
