“I am flattered and humbled to be included in this incredible group of people, unified in our commitment to eradicating human trafficking,” Paulin said. “Thousands of vulnerable young trafficking victims will remain trapped in the hellish life they were coerced into until our laws hold their evil predators accountable. And most importantly, we have to give victims the support and services they need to break free of their exploitation and begin to rebuild their lives.”
Joining Paulin in the group of New Abolitionists are U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer; U.S. Rep-elect Kathleen Rice, (D-Long Island); Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance; and Toko Serita, the acting Supreme Court Justice and presiding judge of the Queens Human Trafficking Intervention Court.
