YONKERS, N.Y. -- The woman killed in the accident that took place in the area of area of Rumsey Road and Valley Road on Sunday has been identified as 28-year-old Beverly Simmons, according to LoHud.com.
Police said two passengers were in a 2001 Lincoln Towncar that was traveling northbound on Rumsey Rd. when it veered off the road and hit a tree at approximately 3:11 a.m., police said.
Simmons was pronounced dead on the scene while the 34-year-old male driver is currently listed in serious but stable condition, police said.
The man was identified as Antoine Simmons, 34, according to LoHud.com.
Investigators have not yet determined of drugs and alcohol played a part in the incident, police said.
