Quezada, Board of Education President Rev. Steve Lopez, and a team from the district’s Facilities Management Department inspected the school Sunday morning.

After much consideration, it was determined that Saunders needs to be closed for students on Monday to complete the clean-up and prepare for the students to return.

A team from the Facilities Management Department and an outside professional company will complete the work, the district said.

All staff members are to report to Saunders on Monday by 8:30 a.m. for professional development.

Saunders students, families and staff will receive a telephone update Monday afternoon.
