Police: Bronx Man Stabbed In Yonkers Dice Game

YONKERS, N.Y. – A Bronx man was stabbed in the face and neck earlier this week after an apparent dispute over a dice game, Yonkers police said.

The 28-year-old man, who has not been identified, told Yonkers police he had been a part of the game on Lawrence Street, in the southwest section of the city, around 9:30 p.m., Wednesday when another man attacked him, striking him in the face and neck.

The man said he ran to a relative’s home before calling police two-and-a-half hours later. He was later taken to the hospital where he received 25 stitches.

Police searched the area but were unable to find the suspect, said Yonkers Detective Lt. Patrick McCormack.

The suspect was described as a 25-year-old black male, five feet, eight inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a red t-shirt, khaki pants and red sneakers, McCormack said.
