Thousands of firemen, NYPD, public officials and civilian attendees lined the streets around the Annunciation Church to mourn FDNY Battalion Chief Michael Fahy, killed Tuesday in a Bronx building explosion.
Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Archbishop of New York, was in attendance, as was NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio and many other dignitaries.
Fahy, a 44-year-old father of three (sons Michael, 11, and Cormac, 6, and daughter Anna, 8) was married to Fiona Fahy, and was a 17-year FDNY veteran.
Fahy, a resident of the Crestwood section of Yonkers and North Rockland High graduate, was struck by flying debris when a blast blew apart a Bronx drug house.
