Born March 7, 1929, Miele served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked as a district manager for Chubb Life Insurance for 35 years. He was most recently of Milford, Conn., and Jensen Beach, Fla.
Miele is survived by his wife, Kathleen; two sons, Louis, of Florida, and Patrick (Dianne), of Pound Ridge; a stepson, Dale (Chris Ann) Ludwig, of Charlottesville, Va.; a granddaughter and three step-grandchildren. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home in White Plains. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in White Plains. Burial will be at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
