YONKERS, N.Y. – Paschal L. "Pat" Salotto of Yonkers died Jan. 26. He was 78.
He was born Sept. 24, 1934, to Cosmo and Aretta Salotto. A lifelong resident of Yonkers, Pat Salotto attended Holy Trinity School and graduated from Iona Preparatory School. He attended Iona College and served in the Army. He was a member of Local 29 of the Blasters Drillrunners & Miners Union for more than 30 years.
Salotto is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nancy DePalma Salotto; five children, Michael Salotto of Beverly, Mass., Lisa (James) Budrock, Lauren Wynne and Patricia Salotto, all of Yonkers, and Christopher (Theoni) of Fishkill, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son-in-law, Timothy Wynne; and a sister, Angela Sissenwein.
Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home in Yonkers. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church in Yonkers. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Yonkers.
