Nicholas Camporeale, 84, Yonkers Electrical Contractor

YONKERS, N.Y. – Nicholas Camporeale of Yonkers died Jan. 9. She was 84.

Camporeale was born April 15, 1928, in the Bronx to Michele and Felice Stefano Camporeale. He married Norma Impicciatore on June 6, 1954, at Mount Carmel Church. She predeceased him on Nov. 16, 2007.

He served in the Army’s 4th Infantry Division from 1952 to 1954. An electrical contractor, Camporeale worked for Metco Electric in Mount Vernon for more than 45 years until his retirement in 1999.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Mount Vernon and a former post commander for the American Legion in Eastchester.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Yannantuono Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mount Carmel Church in Mount Vernon. Burial will follow at Beechwoods Cemetery in New Rochelle.
