Joan A. Liptak, 84, Lifelong Yonkers Resident

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Joan A. Liptak, 84, a lifelong resident of Yonkers, died Saturday, May 2.

Survivors include one daughter, Dora Lynn Liptak; one son, Robert Liptak; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Her husband, George M. Liptak; one son, George M. Liptak; and one sister, Patricia Vece Korwatch, preceded her in death.

Calling hours will be 9-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Holy Trinity Church, Yonkers.

Entombment will follow in the Ferncliff Cemetery, 280 Secor Road, Hartsdale.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Yonkers Animal Shelter, 1000 Ridge Hill Blvd., Yonkers, NY 10710, or the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
