Calabrese was born to Joseph and Maria Famigletti Di'Chiara. She was a retired New York City school teacher and teacher's mentor, and district leader for the Yonkers 5th Ward Republican party for many years.
Calabrese is survived by her son, Donald (Kristina) Calabrese; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Dominic Calabrese; four brothers; and four sisters.
Calling hours are Tuesday, Sept. 17 and Wednesday, Sept. 18 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Flower Funeral Home, 714 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 at St. Ann's Church. Interment Kensico.
