Born April 13, 1929, in Mount Vernon, she was the daughter of Nancy and Harry Carlsen. She was married to William Arthur McDonald for 59 years. He survives her. She was most recently a resident of Cary, N.C.
Harriet McDonald is survived a son, Michael (Diane) McDonald of Yonkers; a daughter, Barbara Ann (Nick) Wheaton of Raleigh, N.C.; five grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by two sisters, Christabelle and Corrine.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday in Apex, N.C. Brown-Wynne Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
