Eleanor Leavy, 85, Former Yonkers Clerk

YONKERS, N.Y. – Eleanor Leavy of Pembroke Pines, Fla., and formerly of Yonkers, died Aug. 31 at Emerald Park Retirement Center in Hollywood, Fla., after a long illness. She was 85. 

Leavy was born Sept. 21, 1926, in Yonkers to Thomas Neville and Cecilia Fennell. She worked as a clerk for Otis Elevator Co. 

She is survived by a son, Kevin McCormick; a brother, Thomas Neville; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Kevin McCormick; her second husband, William Leavy; and two siblings, Mary Ferguson and Raymond Neville. 

Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Flynn Memorial Home in Yonkers. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Yonkers.
