Yonkers To Auction Off Four Tax Lien Foreclosures

YONKERS. N.Y. -- The city of Yonkers is auctioning off four properties that are tax lien foreclosures.

The auction will take place at 10 a.m. Oct. 28 at the Westchester County Courthouse, 110 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., White Plains.

A tax lien foreclosure occurs when a property owner fails to pay the real estate taxes on their property, said Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano. These unpaid real property taxes become liens against the property, and the city initiated a tax lien foreclosure action and was successful in winning a judgment to auction these properties.
