YONKERS, N.Y. -- The Summer Food Service Program, which allows children in the community to dine for free, will continue through Aug. 8.
Children ages 18 and younger may take advantage of free breakfast and lunch, Monday through Friday, provided by the Yonkers Public Schools food services department, at any of the following locations and times:
• Cedar Place School, 20 Cedar Place – Breakfast 8:15-9:15 a.m., hot lunch 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. • Eugenio Maria de Hostos Microsociety School, 75 Morris St. – Breakfast 8:15-9:15 a.m., hot lunch 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. • Palisade Preparatory School, 201 Palisade Ave. – No breakfast, hot lunch 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. • Westchester Hills School 29, 47 Croydon Road – Breakfast 8:30-9 a.m., cold boxed lunch 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. • Yonkers Montessori Academy, 160 Woodlawn Ave. – Breakfast 8-9 a.m., cold boxed lunch 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
There is no need to register or give advance notice. Any child may just walk in and eat during the designated times. For more information, call the Yonkers Public School Department at 376-8166 or go to the school district’s website at http://www.yonkerspublicschools.org.
