YONKERS, N.Y. -- Trevor Loftus, a 40-year-old Yonkers resident, was killed around noontime Friday in an accident at a construction site in Manhattan, according to multiple reports.
Loftus, the construction safety coordinator for a project at a 35-story hotel at 219 E. 44th Street, suffered the fatal injury while unloading material from a truck when it appeared he was crushed after the arm of a hydraulic system of a truck-mounted device failed, according to The New York Times.
Loftus, who is survived by his wife and two children, was the owner of Kerry Contracting, according to News 12.
