48-Year-Old Police Detective In Westchester Dies Suddenly A 48-year-old member of a police department in Westchester has died suddenly. The detective, a 16-year veteran with the Yonkers PD, died on Sunday afternoon, Feb. 19 in New York City after he apparently suffered a medical event while operating a motor vehicle in New York City, according to preliminary indications, the department announced Monday morning, Feb. 20. Suspect On Loose After Broad-Daylight Shooting During Dispute In Westchester A suspect is on the run after allegedly shooting another man during a dispute in Westchester. The incident occurred around 12:45 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 1 in Yonkers, in the area of Mill Street. According to Yonkers PD Det. Lt. The incident took place in Yonkers around 4:20 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 1, near the ShopRite at 25 Prospect Street. According to Yonkers PD Det. Lt. Fight Between Brothers Ends With Stabbing In Westchester, Police Say A fight between two brothers ended with one stabbed and the other under arrest in Westchester. The incident took place on Tuesday, June 29 in Yonkers. Police responded to the area of 1 Manor House Square on a report of a stabbing, said Yonkers PD Sgt. Frank DiDomizio.
