NY College Athletes Allowed To Get Paid For Endorsements Under New Law
College athletes in New York will be allowed to receive compensation for their name, image, or likeness under new legislation signed by Gov. Kathy Hochul. New York State is set to begin examining cases of unexpected cardiac arrest in student-athletes under a new law signed by Gov. Kathy Hochul. High school student-athletes in New York who make a name for themselves can now profit off it. At its quarterly Executive Committee meeting, the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) announced that it has revised its rule regarding amateur athletes statewide, and that student-athletes can now profit off their name, image, or likeness.
