Person Accused Of Making Threat Against Current Student At High School In Hudson Valley
A former student has been accused of making threats against a current student at a high school in the Hudson Valley. On Thursday, March 23 at approximately 12:30 pm, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into threats made on social media targeting a student at Brewster High School. Two Schools In Hudson Valley Go Remote After Social Media Threats
Two schools in the Hudson Valley have moved to remote learning following a social media threat. Both Poughkeepsie Middle School and Poughkeepsie High School will be operating on a remote learning schedule on Monday, March 21, due to the social media threat made against both schools, according to a message on the district's website. Police in Northern Westchester are investigating a social media threat reportedly made by a student threatening violence. Middle School Threats Lead To Increased Security In Mamaroneck
Security has been beefed up following a string of threats that caused concern for students and staff in the Mamaroneck School District. Over the past several days, the district “has been challenged by three unrelated instances of alleged student threats to the safety of Hommocks Middle School," Schools Superintendent Robert Shaps said.
