A well-known mother of three from the region who was a member of the William Raveis Real Estate Company family is being remembered for her kindness and impact on the community where she lived. Massachusetts native Meghan Raveis, age 45, died on Friday, June 23 after she was struck by a vehicle while walking near her Connecticut residence in the town of Fairfield in the 500 block of Redding Road. Police: Road-Rage Incident Leads To Intoxicated Westchester Motorist's Arrest
A Westchester motorist is facing multiple charges after a road rage incident, police say. Darien Police received a report from the victim on Sunday, March 10 around 7 p.m. stating that a red sedan was following her in a threatening manner. She said the vehicle first started following her in Rowayton, and she was currently on Hecker Avenue. The victim was instructed to pull over in front of the police department, which was nearby. The former co-founder of a multi-million dollar hedge fund is facing charges claiming that he lied to his investors and misappropriated nearly $20 million as part of a Ponzi scheme. Jason Rhodes of Fairfield County was arrested on Tuesday morning on conspiracy, securities fraud, wire fraud, and investment adviser fraud charges. New Canaan Country School students made a strong showing in the recent 2018 National World Languages exams. In Spanish, of the 34,600 students who sat for the exam nationwide, four Gold medals - the highest possible prize – were awarded to New Canaan Country School students, placing eighth grader Ellie Hanson in the top 4 percent, and ninth graders Shane Carbin of Norwalk, Georgia Rivero of New Canaan and Hannah Nightingale of Rowayton in the top 1 percent of the United States.
