Man Wanted For Hudson Valley Armed Robbery Nabbed After Parkway Chase, Police Say A man wanted for the alleged armed robbery of a Hudson Valley mini-mart was nabbed by state police following a chase on the Sprain Brook Parkway. The incident started in Rockland County around 9:43 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, in Clarkstown. Two Rescued After Kayak Overturns In Hudson River Off Irvington The Westchester County Police Marine Unit rescued two people in the Hudson River after their kayak overturned off Irvington. A husband and wife, in their 50s, from Irvington, were clinging to the kayak when the Westchester County Police Marine Unit patrol boat arrived on scene about 3:35 p.m.Wednesday, said Kieran O'Leary, spokesman for the department. The year began with the announcement Entergy will be closing Indian Point Energy Center in 2020 and 2021. The closure was part of an agreement with Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Riverkeeper with the state dropping all legal challenges against the plant.
