New Yorkers searching for the sweet life need look no further than this Long Island locale, according to a new ranking from Money magazine.
On its list of the 50 best places to live in the United States, Glen Cove on Nassau County’s North Shore was ranked No. 37, the only New York locale to make the cut.
To come up with its ranking, Money looked at several factors that matter most to people, including cost of living, diversity, economic opportunity, and education.

Five NYers Nabbed For $8.4 Million Fraud, Money Laundering Scheme, Feds Says
Four Long Island residents are among five New Yorkers facing charges for a multi-million dollar “boiler room” fraud and money laundering scheme, federal officials announced.
US Attorney Damian Williams announced that five suspects are facing a host of charges for their alleged roles in the $8.4 million scheme to defraud investors around the world and launder the proceeds from the scheme.

A strong, quick-moving storm system brought several inches of snow to most of the region while creating hazardous driving conditions over the entire area.
There were numerous crashes and some road closures during the height of the storm Saturday afternoon and evening, Jan. 18.

New Round Of Scattered, Severe Thunderstorms Sweeping Through Area
A new round of scattered, severe thunderstorms is moving through the area.
There have been reports of strong storms both in the southern portions of the region, including the New York City area, and farther inland in the Hudson Valley and Connecticut.
At 4:15 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19, a strong thunderstorm was located over Scarsdale, near New Rochelle, moving east at 20 mph.
Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with this storm.
