The incident happened on Saturday, March 23, when damage was found at a home in Pelham Manor on Shore View Circle, according to village officials.  Firefighters soon responded to the residence and evacuated the home after detecting a strong gas odor. Colonial Elementary School in Pelham was evacuated as a precaution at approximately noon on Friday, Sept. 27, when there was reports of the smell of gas near the building. The fire department has been on the scene on Ellendale Avenue for more than three hours trying to locate the source of the leak that is causing a strong odor of gas in the area, said the Port Chester Police.
