Greenwich Police Nab Violent Kidnapper Who Fled From Westchester County, Cops Say Police in Fairfield County nabbed a violent kidnapper who fled from Westchester County after committing the alleged crime. The incident took place in Greenwich early Thursday, Sept. 21. According to Lt. Patrick Smyth, of the Greenwich Police, the department was notified by authorities in Westchester that police pursued a suspected wanted in a kidnapping and assault with a gun in Rye and had crossed state lines into the Town of Greenwich.  The suspect, identified as Daniel Patrick Twomey, age 39, of Lodi, New Jersey, was believed to be armed and dangerous, Smyth said. At around 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, the man walked into the M&T Bank on East Putnam Avenue in Cos Cob and demanded cash, Greenwich Police said. He was given an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the scene. The suspect is described as a man standing 5-feet-10-inches tall, weighing approximately 175 pounds. Woman Left Dog In Trunk Of Car For Half Hour In Greenwich, Police Say A 56-year-old woman has been charged after police say they discovered that she had locked a dog in her trunk for more than 30 minutes. Linda Scalley of Wilton was arrested Wednesday by Greenwich Police after officers were called to a report of a dog in a vehicle on Grove Street in Cos Cob, said Lt. John Slusarz. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the vehicle with all of the windows closed and determined the dog was in the trunk.
