Witnesses Sought In Fatal Hudson Valley Crash Police are asking for any witnesses to a Hudson Valley crash in which a scooter driver was hit and killed by an SUV to come forward. Rockland County resident Dariel Rivera, of Central Nyack, was killed around 3:50 a.m., Friday, July 14, on Route 303 in West Nyack. According to Det. Norm Peters of the Clarkstown Police, officers found Rivera after police received reports of a person lying in the roadway. Rivera, who was riding an electric scooter, which was found heavily damaged, had sustained severe trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene, Peters said. A witness who stayed at the scen…

Man Struck, Killed By Vehicle On Busy Hudson Valley Roadway A pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle along a busy Hudson Valley roadway. The incident took place in Rockland County around 8:20 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 23 in West Nyack. Firefighter Injured During Hudson Valley House Fire A firefighter received burns and suffered from smoke inhalation while battling an area house fire. The fire took place in Rockland County around 9 p.m., Monday, Nov. 1, at 460 Storms Road in Valley Cottage.
