Westchester County Golf Courses Close Dec. 29 For Season

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The six Westchester County-owned golf courses will close after play on Sunday, Dec. 29, weather and conditions permitting.

Maple Moor Golf Course and the other five county-owned courses will be open through Dec. 29, weather permitting.

The courses are Dunwoodie (914-231-3490) and Sprain Lake (914-231-3481), both in Yonkers; Maple Moor (914-995-9200) in White Plains; Mohansic (914-862-5283) in Yorktown Heights; Saxon Woods (914-231-3461) in Scarsdale; and Hudson Hills (914-864-3000) in Ossining.

The courses are expected to re-open in March, weather and conditions permitting. The exact date will be announced.

There still is time to purchase golf gift cards, to pre-register for available 2014 E-Z Reserve tee-times and to buy or renew park passes.
