The total is likely a record in campaign spending for the office and was twice what New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson spent to run against Astorino, LoHud.com said.

Should Astorino decide to decide to run for governor against Andrew Cuomo, he'll be at a severe financial disadvantage. The Democrat's campaign fund stands at approximately $28 million while Astorino's funds have been depleted to just more than $679,000, according to LoHud.com.
