Parenting Group for Moms: 1-2:30 p.m. Mothers of elementary school children will discuss various topics. There will be refreshments and prizes, and moms will receive a certificate of participation. Fun With Toddlers, It's Spring: 1-1:30 p.m. Songs, games, activities and stories for children 20 to 29 months with caregivers. For children "Almost Two" and "Just Two." White Plains Library Galaxy Hall, 100 Martine Ave.

Party Like a Genius: April 27-29. Mensa, the high IQ society, celebrates at its regional gathering, "A New York State of Mind." Non-members can register on-site for $60. Friday evening only is $30, and Saturday only is $45. (To book lodging at the Crowne Plaza, contact the hotel at 914-682-0050.) In addition to round-the-clock activities, speakers include Westchester County Legislator Mary Jane Shimsky and Mark Rothman, producer of, and head writer for, such classic television shows as “The Odd Couple,” “Happy Days” and “Laverne & Shirley.” Rothman will be the keynote speaker at the Saturday night dinner. Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza, 66 Hale Ave.

3rd Annual NY Super Adoption: 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Hundreds of cats and kittens, dogs and puppies, and rabbits will be available for adoption. If you are interested in volunteering, click here.

Video Production Classes for Teens: 2-4 p.m. If you are a teen in grades 9-12 with an interest in acting in or creating a video, the library is sponsoring a video production class that will create a public service announcement. Students can write the script, select the actors, shoot and edit the video, integrate music and watch the final cut at a red carpet graduation ceremony. To register, visit the library website. March for Babies Annual Walk: 9 a.m. The annual March for Babies, the March of Dimes premier fundraising event, is taking place in 900 communities in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Latin recording artist Thalia, a long-time supporter of the March of Dimes mission to give moms full-term healthy babies, will walk with fans and March for Babies supporters.
