WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Two cars parked in the Battle Hill neighborhood were broken into Wednesday evening, resulting in nearly $1,620 worth of stolen goods, police said.
A Scarsdale man told police he discovered the rear passenger window of his car was broken after leaving the City Limits Diner at approximately 8:20 p.m. According to police reports, the 57-year-old man left his briefcase on the back seat, which was visible to those outside of the 2010 Toyota Prius.
A wallet containing the man's license, $100, and credit cards was stolen from the brief case. A MacBook Air valued at $1,098.99 and an iPod Nano that cost $119.99 were snatched from underneath the passenger seat as well.
About an hour later, officers were called back to the neighborhood to investigate a second car break-in. A 30-year-old Poughquag, N.Y. woman told officers the front passenger window of her 2004 Honda CR-V was smashed when she returned from dining at Buon Amici.
An iPod valued at approximately $300 was taken from the car, parked at the corner of Harding Avenue and Russell Street, according to police reports.

Officers arrested three men after staff at the Westchester Mall Neiman Marcus told police the trio used an unauthorized account to swindle $3,316.27 worth of goods.
Loss prevention employees told police the three men drove off in a 2011 BMW. Police caught up with the car and arrested Patricia Emilcar, 30, of Brooklyn, Dennis Randolph, 36, of Brooklyn, and Keino Jones, 39, of Miami.
All three were charged with one count of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, a felony.
