Protestors marched in an orderly fashion in White Plains' main shopping district during the busy holiday shopping season. The march began in front of Walmart on Main Street at approximately 1 p.m. included a "lie in" in which protestors simulated being dead, at the intersection of Mamaroneck and Martine avenues.
Some of the signs they carried read, "I Can't Breathe," "Justice for All," and "Black Lives Matter."
The protestors ended their march by placing a casket with names of African-Americans killed by police at the steps of the White Plains police headquarters.
The first White Plains protest following the the Garner decision was held Friday, Dec. 5.
