Westchester Medical Center Hosts Annual Trauma Run Sunday

VALHALLA, N.Y. -- Runners, adventure athletes and supporters of Westchester Medical Center will descend on the hospital's Valhalla campus Sunday, Sept. 20 for the fifth annual Evan Lieberman Trauma Run.

The race benefits the Joel A. Halpern Trauma Center at WMC. Runners can register on race day beginning at 7 a.m. The race begins at 8:30 a.m. A kids race starts at 10:15 a.m. Registration is available online

Runners will go through woods, trudge through mud, climb obstacles and navigate fire towers within the property of the Westchester Medical Center. The 5K obstacle course will challenge every level of athlete.

Runners can form a team, join a team or run as an individual. Nearly $40,000 has been raised for the Trauma Center as of early this week. 

There will be complimentary baggage check and restrooms available at the race site. At the conclusion of the race, runners can cool down and clean up at the spray showers and changing area. There will also be post race refreshments and entertainment.
