The evening focused on honoring MSP’s history as a grassroots organization while addressing the need for continued effort to bring issues of abuse into the public spotlight. Altogether the event raised well over $600,000 in support of MSP’s mission to help victims of domestic violence and human trafficking.
Special guests included members of the New York Giants Organization and elected officials. MSP awarded the Voices of Change Award to Sara Mahoney and Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty. As a board member for the past 20 years, Sara Mahoney is a devoted leader who has helped break down barriers and engage others in the pursuit of justice and change.
The niece of one of MSP’s Founding Mothers, she continues her aunt’s legacy as an advocate for victims of abuse. Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty has been a significant and impactful partner to My Sisters’ Place for close to two years. Throughout this time, they have engaged thousands of people through exciting community-based events that raise awareness and significant resources in support of MSP’s mission.
To date Julia B. Free Sotheby’s has raised over $100,000 for the agency. “We are incredibly proud of our partnership and committed to doing all we can to ensure safe homes for everyone in Westchester County and beyond," said Paul Breunich, President and CEO of Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty. The event featured cocktails, dinner, a fund-the-future appeal and a silent auction.
