Stay Off the Snowy Roads in Tarrytown, Irvington

Update: Irvington police have reported a number of accidents on local roads due to the hazardous conditions brought on by snow. They are advising drivers to stay off the roads.

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. - Early morning snow hit Tarrytown and Irvington, continuing to fall throughout the morning.

Police in both villages reported that no roads were closed because of the snow. 

Irvington police said they were asking residents to stay inside and not drive.

The National Weather Service is estimating that approximately 3 to 5 inches will accumulate on Saturday, mainly before 3 p.m.

Temperatures should reach a high of 28 degrees Saturday, with a north wind between  and 10 mph.
