TARRYTOWN, N.Y. The National Weather Service is predicting rain and chilly temperatures for those who will be traveling for the holidays this week.
The Tarrytowns can expect rainfall on Wednesday and Thursday. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day also have a 40 percent chance of rain, the National Weather Service says, but it's not yet clear if the rain might turn into snow.
Tuesday night will have a low of 35 degrees and a 20 percent chance of precipitation. The chance of rain increases to 90 percent for Wednesday, with a high near 52 degrees and a low of 43 degrees.
Rain is most likely Thursday night, with a high of 54 degrees and a low of 37 degrees. The chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
Friday's temperatures will reach a high of 48 degrees and a low of 32.
The rain returns SaturdayChristmas Evewith a 30 percent chance of precipitation. Temperatures will reach a high of 45 degrees and a low of 36.
There's a 40 percent chance of rain on Christmas Day, with a high of 46 and a low of 31 degrees. Looks like a wet, but possibly not a white Christmas.
