Tappan Zee Bridge Lanes Will Close For Repair Work

The Thruway Authority announced pavement repair work that will require overnight northbound lane closures on I-87/I-287 from just south of Exit 9 (Tarrytown - Sleepy Hollow - US Route 9) to the approach of the Tappan Zee Bridge Wednesday evening.

The closure will be between 9 p.m. Wednesday and 5 a.m. Thursday. Two northbound lanes will be closed to traffic to accommodate the repair work.

Two northbound lanes will be open to traffic heading toward the Tappan Zee Bridge, and all three southbound lanes will remain open.

Traffic impacts are expected to be minimal.
