Hudson Valley Man Caught Impersonating Officer, Police Say State Police are asking residents who may have been stopped by a person saying they were an on-duty police officer to contact their offices following the arrest of a local man who posed as an officer. Christopher S. Kirkpatrick, 27, of Wawayanda, was charged with criminal impersonation on Monday, Feb. 5 after stopping a motorist traveling westbound on the I-84 in Wawayanda, said Trooper Steven Nevel.
