Planned Date For Use Of Explosives, Demolition Of Old TZB Postponed The demolition of the last east anchor span of the old Tappan Zee Bridge set for Saturday, Jan. 12 has been postponed. According to the builders, Tappan Zee Constructors, the demolition has been delayed due to the windy weather. A makeup date has not been announced.
