New Study Reveals How You Could Add 10 Years To Your Life A new study found that making specific, sustained diet changes could add more than a decade to an American's life.  Researchers found that a sustained change from a "typical Western diet" to an "optimal diet" beginning at age 20 would increase the life expectancy for a woman in the United States by more than 10 years, and by 13 years for men in the US, according to the report published in PLOS Medicine on Tuesday, Feb. 8.
