Three-Vehicle Crash Shuts Down Busy Road In Mahopac A three-vehicle crash on Baldwin Place Road closed down the roadway for a short time Monday as first responders worked to make sure there were no injuries. The crash occurred a little past 2 p.m., and was reported as a crash with injuries, officials said. Numerous department responded including Mahopac Falls Fire, EMS, and Fire Police, along with multiple Carmel police officers and members of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office. One Hospitalized In Crash That Causes Route 6N Closure One person was hospitalized Sunday in a two-vehicle crash that occurred at the intersection of Route 6N and Rose Drive/Stillwater Road in Mahopac. Mahopac Falls Fire, EMS and Fire Police quickly responded with Chief Brian Sacher taking control of the scene as Incident Command, with Capt. Dan Meury handling Operations. Dealing with heavy Sunday midday traffic, Fire police closed the southbound 6N traffic and detoured vehicles across Stillwater Rd.  EMT's triaged the victims, with one being transported to Putnam Hospital with minor injuries and one refusing medical attention.
