Police Search For Hit-Run Driver After Man Struck By Sedan In Hudson Valley Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver after a man was struck on a Hudson Valley roadway overnight. The incident happened in Rockland County around 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 13 in Pearl River. New Jersey resident Adan Valentin Huerta Martinez, age 51, of the borough of Hillsdale in Bergen County, was crossing the roadway in the area of 50 East Central Ave, and was struck by a black four-door sedan traveling east on that roadway, Orangetown Police Department Captain Michael Shannon said. Tim McCormack, a volunteer firefighter from Clinton Corners in Dutchess County in New York's Hudson Valley,  had taken off around 1:30 p.m. from the 34th Street heliport on the east side where he dropped his boss off and was en route to Linden Airport -- the Agusta A109E's home base -- before the crash, officials said. Pilot Killed In Helicopter Crash-Landing On Manhattan High-Rise From Hudson Valley, FAA Says A helicopter pilot who was killed while crashing-landing on the roof of a building Monday afternoon in midtown Manhattan was from Dutchess County, the FAA reported. Tim McCormack of Clinton Corners was the only victim in the crash. He was reported deceased 45 minutes later. His father and grandfather were Poughkeepsie firefighters.
