Rockland Gangsters' Associate Gets 65 Months In 'Cabjacking,' Bar Holdups A fellow member of a gang from Rockland was sentenced Wednesday to 65 months in federal prison for his role in carjacking, kidnapping and leaving a local cab driver for dead in Orange County after he and four others robbed a North Jersey bar. Wilbur J. Barahona, 22, of Ridgewood was the last of six defendants to accept a plea deal from federal prosecutors in Newark in connection with the separate crimes, which occurred within hours of one another. Born in Poughkeepsie, she lived in North Haledon before moving to Hawthorne. She is survived by her husband, Josh Preiskines; children Joshua Jr., Blake John, Wyatt and Remington “Remi” Preiskines; parents John and Brenda (nee Jonkman) Nienhouse; and sister Kristina Nienhouse. She is pre-deceased by her sisters Laura Lee and Alaina Joy Nienhouse. Visitation is Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home in Franklin Lakes. Driver, 25, Killed When Tree Falls On Car On Merritt Parkway A 25-year-old motorist from New Jersey was killed Friday afternoon when a large tree fell on his car on the Merritt Parkway in Fairfield County amid the damaging Nor'easter. Jonathan Rodriguez-Melendez of Hawthorne was traveling southbound near the Stamford-Greenwich border south of Exit 33 at about 1:20 p.m. amid rain and severe crosswinds when the tree fell on his Mini Cooper, Connecticut State Police said.
