Interim Superintendent Appointed At School District In Westchester A school district in Westchester has announced who will temporarily fill the shoes of its outgoing superintendent.  Luis Rodriguez will serve as the Interim Superintendent for Yonkers Public Schools and replace outgoing Superintendent Edwin M. Mount Vernon Native, Longtime Harrison Educator Robert Mulligan, 92 Robert E. Mulligan died on Monday, Jan. 31. He was born in Mount Vernon on February 3, 1929, son of Robert Mulligan and Ella Sullivan Mulligan. Robert graduated from Mount Saint Michael Academy and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Iona College. He received his Master of Arts degree in Education from Hunter College and took graduate courses at New York University and City College of New York. Covid-19: Former Secretary Of State Colin Powell Dies From Complications Of Virus Colin Powell, the first Black secretary of state and a retired four-star general, has died at age 84 of COVID-19 related complications. "General Colin L. Powell, former U.S. Secretary of State and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, passed away this morning due to complications from Covid 19,"  Powell's family wrote on Facebook on Monday morning, Oct. 18.
