Tarrytown Almanac: Recreation Department

West Main St, PO Box 292, Tarrytown, NY 10591, 914-631-8389 The Tarrytown Recreation Department provides a variety of events and recreational activities and maintains seven village parks. Facilities in the parks include sports fields (baseball, soccer), basketball and tennis courts, picnic areas, and playgrounds. Pierson Park also features a pavilion and bocci court, and houses the Senior Center. Pilla Landing offers a gazebo. Recreation programs for individuals with disabilities are offered by the Tarrytown Recreation Department in collaboration with the Greenburgh Recreation Department. A variety of classes and activities are offered for all ages. Programs for elementary school age children include a mid-winter and summer day camp. Adult classes focus on fitness, yoga and sports (softball, basketball). Services and activities for Senior Citizens include a nutrition program, transportation and various events/trips. The department works with outside organizations and programs, including youth basketball and tennis, Wolfpack youth football and cheerleading, TNT Baseball & Softball, and AYSO Soccer.
