The Sleepy Hollow Recreation Department provides a variety of programs for all ages beginning with the After-school Program and Meals-on-Wheels, summer day camps, and baseball, basketball, soccer, and football youth leagues (co-sponsors provide support). Village Parks include Barnhart Park, Devries Park and Field, Douglas Park, Margotta Court, Rev. Sykes Park and Horan’s Landing Park. Barnhart Park, Rev. Sykes Park and Margotta Court all feature basketball courts and playground equipment. Barnhart Park has volleyball courts as well. Rev. Sykes Park also has a sprinkler play area. Devries Park and Field has facilities for baseball, picnicking, and fishing, and includes playground equipment, and a greenway trail. Douglas Park also has facilities for picnicking, and fishing, and includes playground equipment, and a greenway trail.

Horan’s Landing Park features a river walk, car-top-boat launch, picnic tables, and great lawn. The Village of Sleepy Hollow offers daily van transportation for senior citizens to a senior nutrition program in Tarrytown, limited transportation to local doctors’ offices and hospitals, and for shopping trips.
