Irvington Wrestling Pinned by Ardsley

ARDSLEY, N.Y. – Irvington wrestled Ardsley to a tie score, 39-39, Thursday, but it was the Panthers who would prevailed because of more pins.

When a wrestling match concludes with the score all even, the teams go to the tie-breaking criteria. The first criteria is based on which team has more pins and it was Ardsley, with five.

Irvington collected three pins – Kevin Degnan (195 pounds), Brett Pastore (152) and Peter Jones (170).

Ardsley forced the final score when Evan Shlom pinned in the final match – 182 pounds. Johan Rosenbloom (145) won by decision and the trio of Anthony DiNardo (285), Justin Jimenez (113) and Tyler Wexler received forfeits.
