Irvington Football Aims For Sixth Consecutive Win

SOMERS, N.Y. -- Irvington can secure a top-three seed with a victory over host Lincoln Hall when the teams play, 3 p.m. in the final regular-season game for both teams.

The Bulldogs are riding a five-game winning streak and are fresh off of a big victory over Ardsley. Shoran Tamura scored three touchdowns, including two in the fourth quarter, and rushed for a career-high 193 yards to secure a 19-6 win over Ardsley.

Tamura has been outstanding since going to quarterback when starter Dillon D’Arrigo suffered an injury against Riverside in the third game. Irvington’s defense, led by seniors Alex Bennett and Chris DiNardo, has been downright stingy, allowing 14 points in its’ last four games. Irvington racked up five sacks last week against Ardsley.
